Be Ye Perfect

Geoffrey Hodson

Be Ye Perfect was first published in 1928 and was a result of a groundbreaking exploration into the complex and wondrous world of angels, and how humans can co-create with them to assist in the evolution of the Earth and the well-being of all who share our planetary home.

Be Ye Perfect was written under the guidance of a spiritual being Geoffrey Hodson identified as the Archangel Bethelda, and presents the main principles and the ideal influences that enable human beings to develop our inherent God-like capacities. Challenging and inspiring, this edition also contains a new foreword and a biography of the author.

The development of Mr. Hodson’s connection with the Angelic (Deva) Kingdom started as a boy, when he was temporarily ensouled by an angelic being during a waking vision. Many years later, while resting in a meditative state on a hillside overlooking a beech forest near the village of Sheepscombe in Gloucestershire, England, his archangelic teacher appeared and communicated with him. Be Ye Perfect is a result of this extraordinary relationship that continued through Mr. Hodson's long and productive life.

About the Author

During his long life, Geoffrey Hodson (1886-1983) undertook extensive clairvoyant research into the subtle realms of nature, which culminated in perhaps his most famous books, The Brotherhood of Angels and of Men (1927) and The Kingdom of the Gods (1952). The latter book is a detailed investigation of the angelic kingdom, complete with dazzling color drawings of his clairvoyant observations. He also utilized his clairvoyant abilities to collaborate with physicians and scientists to investigate the mysteries of the physical world, especially in the fields of healing, chemistry, biology, anthropology, archeology, embryology, physics and astronomy.

In addition to having authored at least forty-six books and thirty-seven booklets, Mr. Hodson wrote hundreds of published articles, making him the most prolific theosophical writer of the twentieth century.

Although he often referred to himself as simply a “student of Theosophy,” Dr. Robert Ellwood, Professor Emeritus of Religion at California State University, described Geoffrey Hodson as worthy of compare with the greatest seers and mystics of any land or time.”
